Catching up
First off I had planned to share a duck tape project and share the link for annual “Stuck at the Prom” contest sponsored by the duck tape brand then while mowing the lawn this afternoon I had a thought about some half broken/whole ceramic bowls that I had and haven’t done anything with them yet (again proving I think of stuff besides the bathtub). Its great therapy to break stuff believes me. Then I remembered I created a piece from ceramic plates couldn’t locate it. So I decided to give up. Tomorrow will be the duck tape post and the ceramic one? TBA or I guess TBP (to be posted) when I find the darn piece.
However I felt I sort of owed a bit of an update-ish so that’s what today’s post will be about then back to the creative-ness.
The rest of the weekend- Saturday was just a lazy day the only productive thing I did was clean up the trunk of my car post Relay chaos, and then go to dads to go through the leftover prizes from kid’s activities apparently there was a clean up scheduled for that morning but I didn’t hear about it till after the fact I really don’t understand how e-mail became the main form of communication with our Relay people when the telephone is a great invention. Sunday was the annual St. Patrick’s fun festival it’s been a tradition forever and a day. Nobody won much Mary got a gift certificate and Jacob won a glass from the dime pitch. I think that’s the first year I didn’t get anything oh well. I did stop at our local museums garden and took a few shots. Then watched game 2 of NBA finals (the Lakers lost :-( ).
Mom-Mom had surgery Monday it was 1st supposed to be at 11am; then they weren’t sure it was then rescheduled for 2pm. Well Monday must be a very busy day surgery wise because mom didn’t have surgery until 5pm it was hard for me to wait that long. It was an hour later she came out ok, stayed in ICU only for a day then is on a regular floor when we saw her this afternoon.
When dad and I went to Hy Vee to get flowers for mom, I noticed how pretty some of the arrangements were I’d love to take a class to learn how to arrange flowers I think it’d be major fun I saw on Tori and Dean Home Sweet Hollywood that Tori took a class on arranging flowers for her friend’s wedding, it was neat! Dad told me later that mom used to make boutonnières and stuff like that long ago I remembered that. I will see if any of the local flower shops offer that or maybe Metro would offer that as a non-credit course.
Below are some arrangements from the floral department with daises:
