Episodes 4 and 5 of Project Runway!
It'd be two weeks ago if you remember at the end of the show Ivy fainted the result was dehydration she was inspired by the whole hospital scene the curtains, etc that she hopes to use them in a design (see I told you can get inspiration from anywhere!).
The challenge is to design an outfit inspired by a hat from famous designer Phillip Trecey. He kind of reminded me of Andy Warhol. Speaking of Andy he was the challenge winner so he got to choose the 1st hat. Everyone pretty much chose his or her models such a sweet gesture.
Design time everyone got a $150 budget for mood and have course there is immunity again for the winner. Valerie had a sweet mask that wasn’t really a hat but whatever I loved it. Her hat was the only one I truly liked. During the design good old Kristin (the one whom I said her designs look like barf?) Well she is having trouble her models hat is an orchid and she has no freaking clue how to design an outfit to co-exist with the hat.
Casanova yet again he is quite the diva and when Tim inspects his design he asks Casanova haven't we seen this dress a 100 times before? I'll be a spoiler and tell you the dress saves him from the bottom again.
Also April whom designs have been a bit makes booty shorts that looks like a diaper I kid you not they are even quilted with a zipper on the back. But also she layers it with pink and black (the shorts are white of course) so it really says diaper. Michael 2 also known as Michael C he ends up having to redo his dress because the material puckered.
It's time for juding and Heidi comes out wearing a great Philip Tracey rose hat and of course they have to play her hubby Seal's song Kiss from a rose when she enters so cliche but I love it. The ones who make in are Peach, Gretchen, Mondo (he did a mens look his model even had a mustache lol), Casanova, Ivy (which kind of surprised me her model had a pink hat and she did this plan suit), and AJ.
The 6 are April, both Michaels, Christopher, Valerie and Kristin. Here is what the judges said:
April-weak
Micheal D- good
Micheal C- effortless
Christopher- took dark didn't respond well to it. This suprises me his is really cool.
Valerie- Beautiful well made but Phillip Trecey didn't like it (who is guest judge of course). Okay what Val did was a red scoop neck dress with a white shell and a few black zippers. Very bold and they were glad she didn't make a lacey black dress (her mask was black) Heidi praised it.
Kirstin-sloppy didn't even try.
The winner was Michael C. Michael D, Val, April, and Christopher make it. Finally Kristin is elminated!

Okay it's now time for Episode 5 and I will be caught up!
The challenge this week is two teams of 6 and the designers will be creating a collection for fall 2010.
The teams are: Micheal C, Gretchen, Christopher, Andy, Ivy and AJ-Team 1. Team 2 is Mondo, Michael D, Valerie, Casanova, and Peach.
Peter Butler who works with Garnier products will assist the designers in hair styles that hot for fall. They are given a board with one side textiles and other styles they must choose one and get a team budget of a $1,000. And there are NO TEAM LEADERS.
Team 1 selects Menswear as Women wear and the color camel they are now know as Team Luxe.
Team 2 selects Military and Lace that's basically their name, Team Military/Lace.
I didn't take too many notes on during the show but Casanova yet again is a diva he's actually scared of what Tim has to say. He says that all he designs is for old women and sluts eesh.
When it comes time for the fashion show Team Luxe is pretty smug thinking they have it in the bag. The have grandpa sweaters huh??? Guest Judge is Georgina Chapman (have no idea who she is but whatevs)
Team Military and Lace won it. I admit they're designs were awesome. They were the underdogs none of the had won a challenge amongst them. Team Luxe was a mess they even had put their models to work how dumb. And this is the shocker Casanova won. I know I'm as stunned as you are.
Meanwhile Team Luxe is on the chopping block and boy did Gretchen change her tune. Maybe the two wins really got to her head or something because wow. She praised her team then instantly bashed them everyone kept throwing poor Michael C under the bus saying he was the weakest link but he had immunity so Heidi told out of the 5 of you who is weakest link? None of them could say they all acted like big babies.
Gretchen even admited to working on just about everyones designs.
Well AJ admits he's the weakest link because he didn't bring his design A game and is out. The others from Team Luxe make in Gretchen (whom I don't like anymore) Ivy, Andy and of course Michael C.
The other shocker is when Tim chews out Team Luxe for letting Grecthen basically be the queen bee and walk all over them and Gretchen is like "Well I can't believe he said that about me so not true".
Since Gretchen has unleashed her true colors, I am going towards Valerie now she's pretty awesome at first I didn't like her but she's growing on me :-) as Valerie says I'm always a bridesmaid never a bride.
