Creative Nesting
So it's Fall. The weather has been crisp in fact I had to wear a knit stocking cap the other morning! Plus the dead give away was the leaves "falling". I went up to Dead Timbers (a local lake outside of Scribner) to do some fishing and for such a small-ish park area, I was in love. It would be a killer location for photoshoots!
That is one thing I did a ton of this summer was fish. I did that more than go to the beach very unusual for me. I haven't fished since I was about 10 years old, I didn't think I'd enjoy it as much as I do! Sometimes I don't cast very but the other day I was casting pretty awesome it's all in the wrist :) But fishing is something you can do till it snows then you can ice fish. I am not sure I'm down for that.
I know I am totally behind on sharing but I assure you that I am creating. Some people have a "nesting" phase, I think it's possible for artists to have a "creative nesting" phase. I am still working on a major cleaning and organization of the studio, when I think I'm done, I always think I'm done but then I get into this mode of how can I improve it?
I've been checking out Goodwill for certain items for organization. I recently read on the Naughty Secretary's blog how she re-organized of her studio. I've taking some of her ideas for inspiration.
I am debating on another work surface because I have given up my desk for a computer so my space is limited. A habit of mine is to work from the floor of my studio, even though I had the desk. I still work at the desk sometimes but it's hard. I do have the perfect thing an old piano bench. Currently it's holding my bedroom stereo so I would need to get something for the stereo then I can move it into studio if I choose.
I am working on sharing a tour of my studio and I'll be sharing my photos and the cool stuff I picked to organize my studio. Currently it's a mess again because I went to Goodwill today and bought more storage type items.
That's it for me. I shall return next week with a project (or two) and the return of wordless Wednesday!!
