January Ispy Glam Bag
Can you believe the first month of the New Year is almost over??
It's time for the 1st Ipsy Glam Bag of 2017!
Let's dive right in!
January's theme: Metropolis
The bag was inspired by skyscrapers but sadly it didn't impress me as some of the other bags have. It could have been a bit flashier in my opinion.
Products:
Manna Kadar Cosmetics: Paradise Blush. This blush is a coral color very pretty but I have to go easy on it because I put it on just a tad heavy (my normal blush is lighter). But I do like it and will use it regularly. However one small complaint it's hard to open.
Pur-lisse: Blue Lotus Seed 5-in-1 mud mask + exfoliant. As you know I love masks and I have used various pur-lisse products (from Ipsy) before so I am very familiar with this product. I try to use the masks (the cream kind) once a week this one is perfect it does what it's supposed to do and rinses off easily!
theBalm Cosmetics: Bahama Mama bronzer: Also another familiar products is of course theBalm. However I am not sure why I was given a bronzer when I have such fair skin even though the swatch is light. The packaging is cute but I won't be using the product maybe for eye shadow but that's it.
Naked Cosmetics: Mica Pigment in Desert Sunset #02: When I opened the container it exploded all over me! I think I have gotten Naked products before but it's been awhile. I used as an eye shadow. I have a lot of browns from Ipsy but I love the shimmer to this!
Ciate London-Geology top coat. I have also gotten Ciate nail products before and I love them. It was nice to get a top coat since since I am due for a new one. It does everything that a top coat should!
Overall, I give this bag a B- only because I wasn't impressed with the style of the bag and getting the bronzer was an oops.
The weekend was an okay one, I worked then on Saturday Daisy Jones Locker hosted their 2nd Annual Swap and Sell. I didn't purchase anything! Actually I went for to help my friend find a dress. Sadly there were no plus sized clothes this time but she did find a dress from Daisy Jones that was perfect for her!!! It made me really happy since she had been looking for a dress for awhile and finally got one!
I did get a chance to walk around the store for a bit while she tried on dresses so I can scout out some goodies next times I go there! Plus they will do another swap and sell in the summer I am sure so I am hoping I can have some goodies then!
Have a great week!
